Saturday November 30th @ Porter Park

The City of Rexburg is thrilled to announce the launch of a spirited new Christmas celebration at Porter Park, Christmas Lights, and Holiday Nights! This event promises a festive experience for the entire community!

In efforts to connect and expand upon several holiday events throughout the season, our partners have gathered together to create a spectacular event that is sure to delight Rexburg and the surrounding communities! Thank you to the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Robinson Family Lightshow, BYU-Idaho, Madison School District 321, and Hemming Village for helping to bring this event to life!

Our traditional Christmas Tree Lighting will be bigger than ever as it moves to Porter Park and lights not only the tree but the park itself! The Robinson Family Lights will illuminate the park and transport visitors to a holiday winter wonderland! Attendees can explore a vibrant marketplace showcasing local artisans and seasonal treats, perfect for the holidays. For a touch of nostalgia, families can enjoy delightful sleigh rides, adding to the magical experience. And no Christmas event would be complete without Santa. He'll be collecting wishlists and sharing the joy of the season by the fireplace. Have you heard of Tinsel? Santa's newest informant elf who was sent to Rexburg to help find a little holiday magic will also be there to spread holiday cheer. Join us for this inaugural celebration, where we come together as a community to embrace the magic of the season!

Scheduled Events & Locations:

Holiday Market @ the Carousel; 5:00-9:00 pm
- The Rexburg Chamber of Commerce graciously organized a fantastic variety of vendors for all your holiday shopping needs! Find a treat, trinket, or treasure to remember the occasion or gift to a friend!
Grab a cup of hot cocoa - courtesy of Just 4 Kids Healthcare!
- The south shelter at Porter Park will provide coverage and seating for guests looking to enjoy a warm cup of cocoa.
Enjoy Treats & Eats with local food truck vendor(s).
Live Music on the Beehive Pavilion Stage starting at 5:15 pm!
- Enjoy a variety of live performances between scheduled events and light shows throughout the evening! These 15-minute performances are sure to fill you with holiday spirit and cheer!

Santa will make his special arrival @ 5:20 pm. Get those cameras ready!
Countdown to the Giant Tree lighting @ 5:30 pm.
LUMINOSITY: The Robinson Family Light Show will begin at 6:00 pm!
- This show can only be accessed on foot. We suggested parking around Porter Park or Hemming Village.
- To enter the light show area, enter through the light tunnel at the SE corner of Porter Park.
- To exit the light show area, use the exit to the left of the Beehive Pavillion Stage.
- Shows last 15 minutes each with 15-minute breaks following each display.
Meet Santa @ the fireplace from 5:45-8:00 pm.
- After the tree lighting, Santa will begin meeting children and taking wish lists at the wood-burning fireplace (just outside the exit of the light show).
Storytime with Tinsel @ 5:45 pm.
- Tinsel herself will be present to share her story with the community! She'll share her story every hour at 5:45, 6:45, 7:45, & 8:45. Find her by the splash pad restroom pavilion.
Holiday Carriage Rides courtesy of Hemming Village from 6:00-9:00 pm
- You can hop on the carriage at one of our two pickup locations on the north side of W 2nd S - one by the carousel, and one by the Hemming Village lobby
- The carriages will drop guests off at the same locations on the south side of W 2nd S.
