Why Participate?

Your idea deserves to be recognized. The Rexburg Big Idea Competition is a platform for you to test out your idea in front of other entrepreneurs, audience members, and a panel of judges.

Rexburg Big Idea Competition Rules 

 Eligibility: 

    1. The competition is open to individuals and teams with innovative business ideas, regardless of their current business status. 

    2. The specific venture entering the competition, if formally organized, must have been started within the last 2 years or less. 

    3. Participants must be at least 18 years old, or have a parental signature if under 18. 

    4. No staff members of The Big Idea program, judges, or other individuals who have a conflict of interest may participate on teams. 

  1. Idea Submission: 

    1. Participants must submit their business idea through the official competition platform by February 29th.  

    2. Submissions should include a brief description of the business idea, addressing its uniqueness, target market, and potential impact. 

  2. Presentation Format: 

    1. Each participant or team will have a maximum of 90 seconds to present their business idea, with 4 minutes overall including time for questions. 

    2. Presentations may include visual aids such as slides, prototypes, or samples. 

  3. Judging Criteria: 

    1. Submissions will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, market potential, and overall presentation quality. 

    2. Judges will assess how well the business idea addresses a specific problem or need in the market.

By participating in the Rexburg Big Idea Competition, participants agree to abide by these rules and any decisions made by the organizers and judging panel.
