January: Color Theory-

Kids: Tuesdays 3:00-4:00 January 6th, 13th, 20th,  27th

This Month we are going to dive into the relationships of colors and how a color palette can affect mood, dynamic, emotion and more.

Week 1: Mountains: Monochromatic and Complimentary Colors

This week we are going to dive into single and dual color schemes. Learning how a color and its opposite can create a beautiful palette all on their own. We will be exploring these dual colors by painting simple mountain scenes.

Week 2: Feathers: Primary Triad/Old Masters Triad

This week we will explore simplified palettes using a few combinations of red, yellow and blue! We will be painting dream catchers as we explore these color schemes.

Week 3: Succulents: Analogous (Harmonious) Colors

This week we are focusing on color harmony. How to pick colors that are similar and work together to create a specific mood. We will explore this by painting small succulents!

Week 4: Streetlamps: Warm and Cool Colors

This week we will be painting a simple Galaxy scene that explores both warm and cool in the same composition
