Mayor's Message

Soon we will celebrate the centennial of the Rexburg Tabernacle. I believe that it is time to remember those pioneers. I believe that it is time to step up and honor them and the last of the grand old buildings. This is a functional building. The acoustical quality is phenomenal. This building serves Rexburg and the surrounding area well. There are many great musical events that take place there throughout the year. It also houses the Teton Flood Museum as well as a children’s museum. The museum is replete with relics and photos of the past. Many of you already know this, but do you know that there is an urgent need to repair and preserve our Tabernacle? This building needs to be preserved as a monument, and a memorial to those great men and women who gave so much to this generation.

We can preserve and retain the Tabernacle, and continue to use it as a valuable asset to our community. We, at this time are in need of donations for windows, and carpet, as well as volunteers. Let us “pitch-in”. Let us “put our shoulder to the wheel”. Let us show we care. Let us show that we do appreciate, and remember, those pioneer stalwarts who passed before. We can do so, by making generous donations to the Rexburg Tabernacle Fund.

Mayor Richard Woodland
