To those who were told that their recycling bins would be here before July 12th and who have not yet received a bin, our team apologizes. The bins are being shipped from California and we've had some delays in their delivery. Please be patient and expect your bin to be delivered to your home in the next couple of weeks.
After a trial period in two test neighborhoods, the Rexburg City Council approved the citywide curbside recycling program on June 6th, 2012.
During July and August of 2012, each residential household in Rexburg will receive a blue recycling bin for mixed recycling. With curbside recycling, there is no need for sorting and it’s just as easy as “taking out the trash.” Non-soiled papers, cardboards, empty plastic bottles and metals like tin and aluminum cans are all accepted in the same bin. Recycling has never been easier!
Those scheduled for Thursday and Friday pickups will receive information packets along with their recycling bin in July.
Those whose trash is picked up on Tuesday and Wednesday will receive information packets and recycling bins in August.
The recycling bins are being offered at no additional cost or fees to residents.
